One of the challenges of the church today is the need to be integrated into culture. It is in the arena of business that the follower of Christ can see his or her faith begin to influence commerce and business practices.
In 2010, GWN began a project in China that specifically targets emerging business leaders. Through the leadership of Dwayne and Cherice Stoltzfus, the outworkings of this ministry took shape. Dwayne and Cherice actually moved to a city in China and began a business. Their intent was to model what doing “Business as Missions” actually looks like. After establishing their work there, they returned to the USA in order to further develop their U.S. company while working with key leaders in China.
There is a God initiated move to integrate business with faith. Because of the philosophy of dualism which tries to separate the world (money, business, entertainment, education) from spiritual things, the church has lost its presence, relevance, and voice. As a result, GWN is endeavoring to reconnect the two by targeting market place leaders especially in the emerging church worldwide. China is our first stop, but other Asian countries are ready for our help as we have resources to proceed.
